09 Jul The most famous weddings! – Destination Wedding at Blue Venado
Top 7 of the most famous weddings!♥
Somehow, there is a huge difference between a “royal” or “famous” wedding and a wedding between you and me.
When I think/dream of my perfect wedding, I imagine that all of my closest friends and families are there to celebrate my perfect day. And it should be in a tropical destination♥.
When a royal/famous couple are getting married the whole world is somehow invited, it will be all over the news and it will be a main topic of discussion for a few weeks. All the spotlights from al over the world will be on them.
Specially for you I made a list of those famous weddings!
1. Prince Harry and Meghan Markle
Let’s begin our top 7 with a marriage that is fresh in our memories. The royal fairytale wedding of Harry and formal suits actress Meghan.
Meghan followed in Princess Diana’s footsteps. Harry and Meghan read traditional vows from the Book of Common Prayer, but if you listened closely, you would have noticed that Meghan omitted the word “obey,” just like Diana did when she married Prince Charles in 1981. Kate Middleton also did the same when she tied the knot with Prince William in 2011.
Meghan made history. The former Suits actress made a bold feminist statement by choosing to begin her wedding procession alone before joining Prince Charles at the Quire. It was the first time any royal bride has ever walked down the aisle of her wedding without an escort.
2. Lady Diana Spencer and Prince Charles wedding
Seven-hundred-fifty-million people tuned in to watch these two tie the knot. It’s hard to choose just one famous moment of the event (the dress, the tiara, the scandalous omission of “promising to obey”), but we can never forget the ring: a 18-carat oval sapphire.♥
3. Victoria “Posh Spice” Adams and David Beckhams wedding
The frosted tips, the $17,000 tiara, the $100,000 Vera Wang gown, not to mention the matching purple reception outfits: Everything about this wedding was completely silly and completely outrageous, but guess who’s still married?
4. Jennifer Aniston and Brad Pitt’s wedding
We all know how this turned out, but regardless, Aniston (in a beachy blowout and Lawrence Steele gown) and Pitt (in a beachy blowout and Hedi Slimane tux) made for one of the loveliest wedding photos of all time.
5. Kate Middleton and Prince William
A prince, Westminster Abbey, and a real tiara—Middleton fulfilled every one of our G-rated princess fantasies. And also our biggest nightmare: that someone else’s ass (our little sister’s, no less) would ultimately steal the show.
6. Kate Moss and Jamie Hinces’ wedding
In true Moss style, the supermodel wore a ’20s-inspired John Galli
ano gown and signature model-off-duty waves by hairstylist Sam McKnight.
7. Amal Alamuddin and George Clooney
When we think about George, the sentence, Nespresso what else will pop up in your mind immediately. Clooney married the girl of his dreams. The human-rights lawyer wore a custom Oscar de la Renta gown on the big day, and practically the most perfectly tailored outfits in the world in the days leading up to the event. We’re just a little sad we can’t marry her ourselves.
